Night Shift: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for cleaning, preparing, sterilizing, and storing instruments from across the health system. This position primarily works in decontamination and prepares case carts for the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensures proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Organizes and prepares case carts for surgical procedures.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborates with various departments and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary instruments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required.
• Certification required at hire (CRCST or CSPDT) must be maintained.
• Must have a rating of 3 or above in Robotics.
• Experience in a Level II Trauma or similar facility is required.
