Surgical Instrument Technician - Night Shift

Night shifts from Friday to Tuesday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM.

Job Description

The Surgical Instrument Technician is responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and management of surgical instruments, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Sterile Processing Management (SPM) and experience with robotic instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sterilization of surgical tools, including operating room equipment.
• Utilize steam sterilization and high-level disinfection protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation regarding sterilization processes.
• Assemble surgical trays and ensure accurate preference cards are maintained.
• Conduct testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment.
• Participate in the management of loaner trays and implants.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Previous experience in a surgical environment is preferred.
• Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CBSPD) or similar is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Knowledge of robotic surgical systems is a plus.
