Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry

Night shift, 3 - 12 hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license is required at the time of submission.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• One professional reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty is required for submission.
