This position requires working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend included.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory care services to patients requiring emergency and intensive care, along with therapeutic treatment for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders. The therapist will consult with physicians to develop treatment plans and create therapy programs based on patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Create therapy programs for patients based on physician instructions and assessment findings.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity.
• Treat patients using various methods, including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and non-invasive methods like CPAP and BIPAP therapies.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory care equipment.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RRT experience.
• Certifications: NRP, BLS (AHA), NBRC, ACLS (AHA).
• State Licenses: Michigan.
