Contract Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with alternating weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team on the 4th floor unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients during childbirth, including managing labor, assisting with deliveries, and providing post-delivery care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions during labor and postpartum.
• Administer medications and manage pain relief methods.
• Facilitate and support childbirth processes, including C-Sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Perform fetal monitoring and respond to fetal distress as necessary.
• Document patient care and procedures in EMR (Meditech).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Intermediate fetal monitoring experience.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Competency in C-Section circulation and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
• EFM and SVE competency.
