Registered Nurse - Med Surg Float Pool

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Evening shifts available: 12-hour shifts from 3 PM to 3 AM or 3 AM to 3 PM, with an evening rotation. A total of 36 hours per week is required, including 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work within the Med Surg Float Pool, floating between all Med Surg Tele units and the South East Tower as needed. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the facility's schedule. The nurse will be required to float to other units if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in various Med Surg and Telemetry units.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient health and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Documentation of patient care using EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in acute Med Surg/Telemetry in a hospital setting.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required.
