Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide care to childbearing women and newborns in all stages of labor, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal care. The registered nurse will work in a Level 3 Perinatal center with a high acuity patient population comprising primarily complex high-risk cases.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care during all stages of labor and delivery.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and C-sections, including circulating in the operating room.
• Provide breastfeeding support and lactation assistance.
• Conduct assessments of newborns and manage postpartum care for mothers.
• Utilize Epic for charting and maintain accurate patient records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, EFM Certification.
• Must have experience with Epic charting system.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-risk environment.
