Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, Every 3rd Weekend

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and evaluating patient care based on established standards and physician orders. The nurse will liaise between patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a high quality of service and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments of patients.
• Participate in establishing a collaborative plan of care based on assessment data.
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care, modifying it as necessary based on patient status.
• Complete documentation in accordance with established standards.
• Assess patient readiness for learning and implement individualized education plans.
• Actively participate in nursing initiatives and serve on committees as needed.
• Provide age-appropriate care to the specific patient population.
• Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current licensure by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in OB, Labor & Delivery, and/or Postpartum.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current NRP certification.
• Current STABLE certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
