Staff Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN will accept responsibility for directing co-workers and delegating role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. All duties must be performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
• Document the nursing process/pathway thoroughly, accurately, and legibly.
• Provide education to patients and families/significant others from admission through discharge.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders and notify the physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care, reporting any malfunctions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certificate is required.
• CPR certification is a must.
• Previous Registered Nursing experience is preferred.
• Associate degree in nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
