Registered Nurse - LDRP

This is a night shift position, working 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in this LDRP unit is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum environment. Nurses will rotate among labor, triage, and mother-baby care postpartum, handling 3-4 couplets in postpartum care and 1-2 patients in labor. An understanding of the EPIC charting system is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the LDRP setting, including support during labor, delivery, and recovery.
• Handle postpartum care for mother-baby couplets.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions, responding to changes in status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Participate in on-call hours as needed, typically 16-20 hours over six weeks.

Required Experience & Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in LDRP required.
• Certifications: NRP, AWHONN, FHM, and OB surgical recovery (C-section) are highly preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is preferred.
