Job Description

The role of the Registered Nurse in the Neuro Med Surg unit involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in NIH and Swallow Screens, as well as experience in neuro-related patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments and care for patients with neurological conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and health maintenance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Med Surg or similar setting.
• NIH and Swallow Screen certifications preferred.
