Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This position is for a full-time Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, working 12-hour day shifts, from 7 AM to 7 PM. Applicants can choose to work either 36 or 48 hours per week, with no block scheduling. Additionally, candidates are required to work either one weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. A minimum of one holiday shift must also be worked during the contract period.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit. Duties include but are not limited to monitoring maternal and fetal health, supporting laboring patients, and assisting with delivery processes. The RN will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for mothers and their newborns.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the health status of patients in labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and interventions as needed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals.
• May float to mother/baby and Neonatal Bassinet Nursery as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Active New York RN license.
• AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and C-efm fetal monitoring certifications.
• At least 2 years of U.S. work experience for non-U.S. candidates.
