Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor & Delivery

This position involves night shifts working a 4x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role will provide care in a high-risk labor and delivery environment, ensuring adherence to AWHONN guidelines and standards. The RN will function as a Baby Nurse during deliveries and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Candidates must be experienced in circulating and providing newborn care.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a high-risk, fast-paced labor and delivery environment.
• Function as Baby Nurse, providing newborn assessments and necessary care.
• Circulate during deliveries and assist as needed with high-risk patients.
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, as directed.
• Support breastfeeding and lactation for new mothers.
• Ensure compliance with electronic fetal monitoring protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience required, with at least 2 years in a high acuity environment.
• Current RN license (compact license accepted).
• Required Certifications: BLS, NRP; Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced.
• Must have current supervisory references and pass clinical review.
