Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This position operates on a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high acuity environment. The role involves supporting midwifery clients, private OBs, and adult recovery services. This position requires expertise in handling high-risk deliveries and providing exceptional newborn care.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist with labor, deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Provide newborn care, including administration of Vitamin K injections and performing necessary assessments.
• Operate within AWHONN guidelines in a high-risk delivery environment.
• Possibly float to sister facilities as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in high acuity and high volume Labor & Delivery.
• Current RN license (compact license preferred).
• Required certifications include BLS and NRP. Preferred certifications are ACLS and AWHONN Advanced/Intermediate.
• Strong supervisory references are necessary.
