Respiratory Therapist Position

Assignment Duration

This is a 14-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the area of respiratory therapy, including diagnosis and treatment of patients with pulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor and assess patient progress and response to therapies.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to enhance patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory therapy and necessary equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy is required.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are necessary.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.

Holiday Expectations

The candidate must be available to work during the holiday season, including:

• Two major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day
• One minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve
