PCU Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Float

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours scheduled, with a minimum guarantee of 24 hours per week. Varied weekends and holidays required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled PCU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. This position involves floating across various departments including PCU OBS, OBS, Medical-Surgical units, and Telemetry. The candidate must possess excellent clinical skills and the ability to adapt to different care settings. Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced PCU environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patients' health status and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments according to hospital protocols.
• Educate patients and families regarding health management plans and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last 12 months.
• Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice.
• Current ACLS certification from approved vendor (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• Current BLS certification from approved vendor (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• Candidates must have valid driver’s license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
