CVICU Registered Nurse

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with week-end and holiday rotation.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized care for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. This role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and adherence to safety protocols. Responsibilities may include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and executing treatment plans as per physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the CVICU for any changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
• Life support certifications must be from approved organizations (AHA, ARC, or ASHI).
• Active state licensure to practice with no hits on record.
• Driver’s license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
