Registered Nurse - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 19:00 – 07:30, 3 × 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Temple NICU is a Level 3 NICU unit specializing in the care of sick neonates utilizing a variety of ventilatory support methods, including conventional ventilators, high-frequency jet ventilators, high-frequency oscillators, CPAP, high flow nasal cannulas, and nitric oxide. The unit accommodates 41 beds, consisting of single, double, and triple rooms. Nurses may also be floated to the Well Baby Nursery as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in electronic records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required.
• Current NRP and BLS certifications are required.
