Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. This unit features 44 beds and a staff of 95, ensuring high-quality care for patients in need of neuro and trauma care. Nurses will be equipped with advanced medical equipment and electronic medical record systems to effectively monitor and treat patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro and spinal checks
• Administer medications as per protocols
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams
• Manage and monitor IV infusions and PCA pumps
• Conduct necessary procedures including C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, and feeding tube placements
• Document patient care and procedures in EMR - Cerner

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Neuro and trauma care experience is required
• Experience with blood transfusions and lumbar drains is preferred
