Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry - Night Shift

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (36 hours per week)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, primarily for adult and geriatric patients, in a 15-bed unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1. The role involves caring for surgical patients and may require assisting in other units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Provide care for surgical patients adhering to established protocols.
• Interpret telemetry strips and respond adequately to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in GE EHR: Medhost.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in New Mexico.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting.
• Experience with stepdown unit care is preferred.
