Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Surgical Services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong skill set for a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to laparoscopic and open surgeries across multiple service lines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures as a member of the surgical team.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment; ensure appropriate decontamination and sterilization processes are followed.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff.
• Participate in the time-out process to ensure patient safety and compliance with universal protocols.
• Provide patient care pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience preferred.
• CST certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• Experience with a wide variety of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, and gynecological surgeries.
• EPIC charting experience is preferred.
• New York State license in hand required for submission.
