LPN - Part Time Nights

Schedule

Must be able to begin orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday. This position entails part-time night shifts, with 2 to 3 shifts of 8 hours, and requires every other weekend availability.

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform direct and indirect designated resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel, within the scope of practice as defined by certification. The LPN will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, ensuring to meet each patient's individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Meet residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs as outlined in the care plan, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care.
• Maintain residents' environment and safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Address residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance.
• Assist with rehabilitative needs, including range of motion exercises and proper body alignment.
• Report resident rights, refusals, and concerns to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
• Identify and report changes in resident physical, emotional, and psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State LPN licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or RQI.
• A minimum of one year of experience as an LPN.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
