Mid 5x8-Hour shift from 15:00 to 23:30.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Trauma Level I and II settings. You will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring a sterile environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to a safe and efficient surgical experience for patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile fields for surgical procedures.
• Assist surgical teams during operations, ensuring all instruments and supplies are readily available.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment with care and knowledge of proper usage.
• Participate in the training of new staff and interns within the department.
• Follow safety and infection control protocols diligently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, specifically Trauma Level I and II.
• Valid certifications: BLS, CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA.
• Experience with specialized equipment including steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and scope processing equipment.
• Ability to float within the specialty and to other units as required.
• Flu vaccine required; exemptions not accepted.
