Sterile Processing Technician

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to assist in the decontamination and sterilization of medical instruments. The position requires a professional who is capable of floating within the department and providing support in sterilization, particularly with Level I and Level II trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform primary decontamination of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Operate sterilization equipment including steam sterilizers and washer disinfectors.
• Maintain aseptic technique during processing and handling of instruments.
• Ensure compliance with sterilization protocols and procedures.
• Float as needed within specialty and support other units and sister facilities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Certification required: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA.
• Experience with trauma Level I and II environments is essential.
• BLS certification preferred.
