Job Description

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for independently performing a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the physician. This role requires proficiency on a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR, with an ability to treat 25-30 patients per day across various treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiation therapy treatments and simulations as prescribed by the physician.
• Fabricate specialized treatment aides based on patient-specific requirements.
• Assess data reflective of the patient’s status and respond to age-specific needs.
• Collaborate effectively within a comprehensive cancer care team.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist or specialist experience.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Current BLS certification.
• State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist by the start of the assignment.
