Registered Nurse - Postpartum

This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:30. Weekend availability is required to meet staffing needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in postpartum care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to new mothers and their infants in a high-risk obstetric environment. This position requires RNs to circulate during cesarean sections and float within their scope of practice as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for postpartum patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed.
• Educate new parents regarding infant care and maternal health.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and support staff in a culturally diverse environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in postpartum or related areas.
• Must possess a valid California RN license. Compact license must be in hand at submission.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• References required: 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
