Radiologic Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule

Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one to two weeknight on-call shifts and every fourth weekend.

Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist will work in the Cardiac Cath Lab, specializing in Electrophysiology, TAVR, and Left Atrial Appendage Closure. The role involves direct patient interaction to ensure comfort and safety during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.
• Prepare patients and equipment for the utilization of sterile technique.
• Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.
• Provide patient comfort while familiarizing them with the equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
• Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites, including the required sterile drapes.
• Utilize sterile and aseptic techniques when scrubbing into a procedure to prevent infection.
• Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, ensuring values are within established safety limits.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program; education verification required.
• AART registered.
• Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
• Cardiovascular Technologist registered.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
