Registered Nurse - Inpatient Acute Dialysis

Schedule

40 hours per week with an every other weekend and rotating holidays schedule. Includes an on-call component averaging 3-4 days per month and one weekend per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Acute Dialysis unit. The ideal candidate will utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise and provides guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating appropriately through the chain of command.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wisconsin RN License.
• AHA Provider level BLS and ACLS certification required prior to start.
• Education verification required.
