Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

This is a 13-week contract position, with a schedule of 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical nursing to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will maintain required certifications and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical-Surgical unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families on health management and plan of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold an active and unrestricted RN license in New York State.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical setting is preferred.
• Current certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• ANCC Medical-Surgical certification is preferred.
