Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Hospital Based Outpatient

Schedule

This position requires availability for a Days shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekends as needed.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work in a hospital-based outpatient setting, providing essential support to patients undergoing physical therapy. This role focuses on assisting with evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to patients.
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes effectively.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and exercises.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidates must possess a valid PTA license to practice in their respective state and have relevant experience working in a similar healthcare setting.
