• Must include one 0800-2030 shift per week
• Shift options: 0500-1730, 0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the HVI Pre/Post unit, providing care to patients undergoing anesthesia recovery and moderate sedation. The unit caters to both inpatient and outpatient cases including heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, and structural heart procedures. The nurse will be responsible for patient monitoring, assessment, and post-operative care in various phases of recovery.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper care and monitoring during pre-operative and post-operative phases
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage patient recovery experiences
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families regarding recovery procedures and care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of PACU experience required
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Must be proficient with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
