Shift: 06:30 - 15:00

Weekend Hours: Every Other / As Needed

Potential for coverage and on-call duties: 1 night/week, 1 weekend/month

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the PACU provides care for patients undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. This position requires knowledge and experience in dealing with various populations, including general, gynecological, vascular, orthopaedic, urology, and podiatry specialties.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' recovery process following surgery
• Administer medications and manage pain control protocols
• Collaborate effectively with surgical and nursing teams
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during recovery
• Document patient progress in the electronic health record (EHR)

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in West Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in PACU, ICU, or ER settings
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred Certification: ASPAN
