Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

36-hour night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every 3rd weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans in accordance with established standards and practices. The RN respects each patient as an individual, fostering dignity and positive self-regard.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess patient needs and goals, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
• Ensure patient care aligns with standards, protocols, and established policies.
• Provide patient and family education based on identified learning needs.
• Prioritize patient care, seeking assistance when necessary.
• Document all relevant patient data accurately and timely.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely and in accordance with orders.
• Monitor patient pain levels and reassess pain management strategies.
• Interpret EKGs and recognize cardiac arrhythmias.
• Engage in multidisciplinary rounds for coordinated patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience preferred; telemetry experience required.
• Current MA RN License.
• ACLS certification upon hire or BLS with ACLS obtained within 60 days.
• CCRN certification preferred.
