Shift: Friday to Monday, 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. Responsibilities include supporting other imaging technologists as needed and facilitating smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist must handle the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of medical ultrasound equipment. Flexibility in working other shifts and locations is required as needed.

• Perform examinations and procedures to assist in patient throughput.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues as needed.
• Participate in ongoing education and maintain imaging competencies.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and regulatory standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology or an accepted equivalent.
• 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience preferred.
• State licensure is required if practicing in New Mexico.
• Current certifications include BLS, and one of the following within 1 year of hire: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, or Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) RDMS by ARDMS.
• Preferred additional certifications: Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS.
