Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - 8 Hour Shift

This is a full-time position requiring five 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to provide support in surgical procedures across various specialties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong ability to operate independently and assist in precepting surgical techs. Must comply with the requirement for on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures.
• Prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout surgeries.
• Assist in precepting new surgical technologists.
• Participate in patient positioning and draping.
• Support various surgical specialties, including General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Ortho, and Neuro procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of current surgical technologist experience.
• Active certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Experience in General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Ortho, and Neuro surgical procedures is required.
• Experience in C-sections, ENT, and Plastics procedures is preferred.
• Proficient in Meditech Expanse software is highly preferred.
