This is a full-time position with an 8-hour shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, requiring 40 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in a variety of surgical procedures and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role necessitates the ability to work independently and precept other staff members as needed.

Responsibilities

• Function as a CST in the operating room, providing surgical assistance in various specialties.
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
• Assist with the positioning of patients and the hand-off of instruments during surgeries.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
• Precept and guide less experienced surgical technologists.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of current CST experience is required.
• Proficiency in General, Gyn, Vascular, Thoracic, Ortho (including total joints), and Neuro surgeries is essential.
• Preference for candidates with experience in C-sections, ENT, Plastics, and DaVinci Robot procedures.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
