Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry Unit

This is a 13-week contract position, offering 12-hour night shifts, scheduled on weekends and holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry Unit. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to cardiac and vascular surgery patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to post-operative cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and read telemetry strips daily.
• Titrate drips, including Heparin, Amiodarone, and Lasix, as necessary.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Assist with the implementation of treatment protocols for complex cardiac cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and a valid driver's license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac and vascular nursing.
