Registered Nurse - Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), weekdays, some weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit. The nurse will typically work under a patient ratio of 1:4, flexing to 1:5 during emergencies. Responsibilities include providing high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients with varying acuity levels.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Monitor patients through telemetry and handle cardiac management.
• Provide post-operational care, including hemodialysis management.
• Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, and other nursing duties.
• Engage in a collaborative healthcare setting with interdisciplinary support teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License, with at least 1.5-2+ years of nursing experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry and 2 years in Stepdown/Immediate Care.
• Certifications required: BCLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips and managing cardiac drips.
