8-hour evening shifts, 11a-7:30p. Weekend, call, and holidays required.

Job Description

The Certified Surgical Technologist will function under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting in nursing care and the preparation of surgical patients. The role involves performing routine and delegated duties according to hospital and departmental standards. The Surgical Technologist will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical environment, ensuring the proper functioning and safety of surgical equipment, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel.
• Assist with departmental work as assigned.
• Maintain the sterility of the surgical room.
• Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• May be asked to precept new staff.

Required Experience / Certifications

• MUST BE CERTIFIED as a Surgical Technologist.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program required.
• Experience in Orthopedics and scrubbing.
• Experience with Davinci surgical systems.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must have travel experience.
