Schedule

3x12 hour shifts, with preference for 36 hours per week; possible 4x10 or 3x12 shifts (7am - 5:30pm or 7am - 7:30pm) including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge per unit.

Job Description

The Cath lab is an inpatient and outpatient procedural lab focused on mechanical and electrical diagnosis and intervention for cardiac patients in the Upstate New York region. The lab houses 4 Cath labs and 3 EP labs, providing care to adult and pediatric patients with a wide range of conditions. Our comprehensive program includes pre and post-procedural care in the holding area, with an emphasis on excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction achieved through collaboration between RN staff and CVTs.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
• Conduct and assist with a variety of cardiac interventions, including Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, PCI, CTO, and vascular interventions.
• Provide mechanical circulatory support including ECMO, Impella, IABP, and LVAD.
• Participate in structural heart procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, and more.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA.
• Moderate sedation training and dysrhythmia/telemetry competency.
• New York RN license required.
• Experience with TAVR, Microclip, Watchmen, and various cardiac interventions.
• Experience in mechanical circulatory support and structural heart procedures.
