Registered Nurse - Vascular Access Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in vascular access to join our team as a traveler. The ideal candidate will have proven competencies in PICC, Midline, and Ultrasound Guided Peripheral IV placement, with a strong ability to float to different units to meet patient needs. This position requires a proactive approach in performing difficult or long-term vascular access sticks across various specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide vascular access services including PICC, Midline, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access.
• Float to different units to support various departments as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Perform assessments, insert catheters, and ensure device stabilization and care.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures and care protocols.

Schedule

This is a Day shift position with a 3x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular access.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to float to various units and campuses as needed.
• Active compact nursing license recognized at all affiliated facilities.
