Registered Nurse - NICU - Level III/IV

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill neonates. The role involves managing patients with varying degrees of complexity, typically those in the 23-24 weeks gestational range, without ECMO support. The RN may float as needed to different campuses, primarily focusing on infants and newborns.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage ventilators, including CPAP/BiPap and high-frequency vents.
• Perform blood and blood product administration.
• Utilize cooling/warming blankets for therapeutic hypothermia.
• Insert and manage feeding tubes, PICC, and central lines.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and attend neonatal surgeries.
• Provide care for neonates between 29-34 weeks gestation.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of NICU experience, ideally in a Level III or IV setting.
• BLS and NR certification required.
• Active RN license must be compact.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is a plus.
