Registered Nurse (RN) - Long Term Care and Rehabilitation

Job Description

The RN partners with residents and care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment through both direct and indirect care. You will work in specialized units that include a 31-bed unit for Alzheimer’s/dementia residents, a 42-bed Transitional Rehabilitation Unit, and a 42-bed long-term care unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored care to meet the unique needs of residents with Alzheimer’s/dementia.
• Communicate effectively using both verbal and non-verbal techniques.
• Administer skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from various illnesses or injuries.
• Conduct IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• Assist residents in long-term placement within a home-like environment.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Associates in Nursing.
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license required.
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Flexibility to work 24/7 and float to other units as needed.
