Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Job Description

The RN partners with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. The role includes working in a specialized unit catering to residents with Alzheimer's and dementia, as well as providing services in a Transitional Rehabilitation Unit and a long-term care unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to interact with residents.
• Understand and manage difficult behaviors associated with Alzheimer's and dementia.
• Provide direct nursing care, including IV therapy and wound care.
• Conduct geriatric assessments and manage patient care plans.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers to ensure quality care.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Valid State of Maine or compact RN license necessary.
• 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
