Schedule

• 6am - 4pm for 3 days (30 min break)
• 6:30am - 3:30pm or 12pm - 9:30pm for 1 day (30 min break)
• Total hours: 37.5

Job Description

The CT/X-Ray Technologist will be responsible for performing computerized tomography exams and conventional radiographic procedures. The ideal candidate should exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust while working independently or unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cat Scan Imaging Exams and conventional radiographic procedures according to established policies and procedures.
• Maintain equipment and supplies on a regular basis.
• Ensure orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Address patient fears and apprehensions regarding exams, particularly for adults and geriatric patients.
• Prepare and enter necessary documentation, such as informed consent and patient chart documentation.
• Observe bio-safety and radiation safety rules and regulations.
• Perform responsibilities related to PACS.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Certification and NYSDOH License required.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to recognize and meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
