Physical Therapist - Acute Inpatient Rehab

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist with primary experience in acute inpatient settings. This position requires the candidate to evaluate and re-evaluate assigned residents/patients, plan and implement ongoing therapeutic physical therapy programs as prescribed by the attending physician or consulting specialist, and provide consulting physical therapist services. The role must be adaptable, with availability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays based on hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients and residents in an acute rehab setting.
• Develop and implement individualized therapeutic physical therapy programs.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and consulting specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide consulting services as needed within the physical therapy department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 6 months of work experience in one or more of the following settings: acute care, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing facility (SNF).
• Current Hawaii Physical Therapist license is mandatory by the start of the assignment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Schedule

Variable schedule options include:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
