Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, with holiday coverage as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit. The position involves monitoring patients with various medical conditions, administering medications, and ensuring high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and make assessments based on patient condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team discussions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current and active RN license.
• BLS certification is mandatory; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Previous Charge RN experience is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
