Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Schedule

This is a night shift position requiring three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Floating to other facilities may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry position. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical-surgical nursing and be capable of managing telemetry patients. Responsibilities include providing care for patients with various medical conditions, performing EKGs, and ensuring compliance with the client's zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Evaluate patient status and needs, providing comprehensive care.
• Monitor telemetry readings and respond to abnormalities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families about health management and disease processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Pass Fail EKG exam is required prior to onboarding.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
