CVOR RN - Cardiothoracic Experience Required

Schedule

This is a day shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Flexibility is required for early clock-ins and potential extended hours based on case schedules. Call is required 1-2 times per week on weekdays and 1-2 weekends per 6-week schedule.

Job Description

The CVOR RN will be part of a dedicated heart team, focusing on patients undergoing cardiothoracic procedures. The team generally handles at least 2 cases a day, with responsibilities extending beyond surgeries when no heart cases are scheduled, including assisting with other surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during cardiovascular procedures.
• Assist in preoperative and postoperative patient management.
• Participate in related surgical activities across various specialties as needed.
• Be available for on-call requirements to ensure patient care continuity.
• Support team members by stocking rooms and managing breaks.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required.
• Current Pennsylvania RN license or Compact license.
• AHA certifications must be current at the time of submission.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
