Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

This position requires a 3x12 night shift.
Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and physician assistance. They are responsible for delivering appropriate patient education, family teaching, and support correlating to the needs of the patient and family. They document appropriately and identify significant changes in the patient's condition, taking appropriate action as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document respiratory therapy interventions according to standard operating procedures.
- Communicate pertinent information to appropriate caregivers.
- Conduct pain assessments and take appropriate actions as per established protocols.
- Complete all documentation, including order entry, verification, and electronic medical record (EMR) updates.
- Process patient charges and generate reports as required.
- Inspect, clean, assemble, and perform preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment.
- Transport infants to and from referral health systems as necessary.
- Provide high-quality critical care in accordance with established patient care guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist - North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care (to be obtained prior to start date).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (prior to start).
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (prior to start).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (prior to start).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from RQI Partners (prior to start).
